I run regular Scotland photography tours and workshops in both the stunning landscapes of Glencoe and the Isle of Skye, two of Scotland’s most iconic and photogenic locations. The photography tours are designed for photographers of all skill levels, from beginners looking to learn the fundamentals to experienced photographers seeking to refine their techniques and capture the dramatic beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Each Scotland photography tour focuses on exploring some of the most breathtaking viewpoints, hidden gems, and atmospheric scenes that these regions have to offer. From the rugged mountains and moody glens of Glencoe to the dramatic coastline, waterfalls, and otherworldly rock formations of the iconic Isle of Skye, participants have the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of landscapes in changing light and weather conditions.
Throughout my Scotland photography tours and workshops, I provide hands-on guidance covering composition, camera settings, use of filters, and techniques for capturing light, mood, and scale in landscape photography. I also share insights on planning shots, working with Scotland’s dynamic weather, and making the most of sunrise and sunset conditions. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where participants can learn, improve their skills, and come away with both stronger photographs and a deeper appreciation for these remarkable locations.
Glencoe is the gem of the Scottish Highlands, offering a wealth of incredible landscapes to photograph, from tall mountain peaks to gushing rivers, rapids, waterfalls and lochs.
All of my Scotland photography tours in January visit this stunning area of northwest Scotland.
The Isle of Skye is the most popular of the Scottish western islands. Here you can photograph and wonderful array of subjects, starting with the Old Man of Storr and on to numerous other beautiful lochs, coves and inlets. The islands dramatic weather can produce some of the best light for landscape photography.
