The landlocked country of Nepal is known across the world for its stunning landscape, most notably the majestic Mount Everest.
Bordering the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and India along its southern border, Nepal is a country with a population of around 31 million people.
Within its borders, there are a multitude of different ethnic groups and religions, with Hinduism being the most prominent.
This mixture of culture and religion serves to provide the discerning travel photographer with a multitude of opportunities in terms of travel portraiture.
Outside of this, Nepal is renowned for the Himalayan mountains that traverse the country. Towering stone giants that dwarf all those that stand in their presence.
And then for me, my personal favourite place to visit is the former Kingdom of Mustang, which juts like a finger into Tibet with its vast landscapes and pure Tibetan Buddhism, which is deeply entwined into the people.
Tibetan Mustang is one of those places on earth that just has to be seen to be believed. Tourist footfall is heavily controlled, with a special permit being required to enter what was once known as the Forbidden Kingdom.
